Mackinac Bridge from Mackinaw City to St Ignace
The Mackinac Bridge connects Michigan's lower peninsula to Michigan's upper peninsula, allowing cars and trucks to travel the span of about 4 miles of water in the Straits of Mackinac on highway I-75. The Mackinac Bridge has been opened to traffic since 1957. The "Mighty Mac" is the longest suspension bridge in the western hemisphere and fifth longest in the world. This gallery features aerial photos of the bridge as well as the bridge at sunrise.
